What’s Your Passion?

Over the past week, I’ve been thinking about what I wanted to write about next.  The one thing that came to mind is PASSION.  Passion for what you believe.  Passion for your marriage.  Passion for your family.  Passion for your job.  I think you get the idea.  People can see passion in all that you do.  If you don’t have passion, it leads to apathy and people can see that too.

What’s the big take away in all of this?  Passion can change perceptions.  As an employee of Buick and GMC and who is trying to do his part to change perceptions of our brands, I know that people and consumers need to see the passion that I have for this company and our products.  This is a critical period for GM.  There are no second chances.

A great example is a blog post written by Jane Devin.  Jane was invited by GM to attend the preview days for the North American International Auto Show.  My favorite quote from her is, “they seem to have decided to unleash their strongest talent and aggressively battle their way back to the top of the automotive industry.” Our biggest challenge is to now build a community of believers in our product, build a relationship with them and listen to what they have to say.

Passion changes perception.  I believe it.  Do you?

Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.  Romans 12:11-12

  1. I like it! in light of recent conversations. I’ve been reading Romans 4. That says “…call those things that are not as though they were” such as “I have made you a father of many nations.”
